Councillor John Dickinson 

It was with great sadness that the community council received the news of John's passing and our thoughts are particularly with his wife and family at this time and with the many friends and acquaintances who are coming to terms with what has happened.

John has been an active and positive member on the council in support of its work for the benefit of our residents and he will be greatly missed. He had the kind of community spirit and engagement that is not so common in these times. He saw the benefit of pitching in to help and for years he has worked "behind the scenes" doing odd jobs in the village and small repairs at the Williams Memorial Hall. Latterly he has been actively fundraising with others to pay for essential works that have been needed at the Hall and his contribution has been greatly appreciated.
