Council Meeting Decisions

The council meeting was held on 8th July 2025 at the Williams Memorial Hall, Coychurch at 7pm.

Present: Councillors Randall (vice-chair), Sutton, Snoddy, and Dickinson.

Councillor Caparros attended remotely. 

No members of the public were present.

The minutes of the meeting held on 10 June 2025 were agreed and signed.

The council had no objections to the following planning applications: P/25/228/FUL and P/25/385/RLX

The council agreed the preferred outdoor fitness components for the community field.

The council decided to invite a member of Bridgend County Borough Council's Corporate Landlord department to a meeting to discuss the proposed long lease for the Coychurch Community Field.

The council decided to instruct a contractor to repair and refit the vehicle gate in the playpark and to installed 3 new panels in the MUGA court fence.

The council reviewed the play park's annual RoSPA inspection report and instructed the clerk to organise the annual inspection of the Zip Wire in the play park. 

The council nominated 2 members to attend the One Voice Wales, Vale and Bridgend area, Annual General Meeting.  

The council adopted the Social Media Policy and this was signed by the vice-chair.

Council reviewed the schedule of payments and receipts for June 2025 as below:
