BCBC Ward Boundaries Review
Published: 20 January 2025
Bridgend County Borough Council has launched a consultation about its proposals to amend community and town council boundaries.
The proposal affecting Coychurch Lower is to incorporate most of Coychurch Lower into the new Brackla ward.
Consequences will be to reduce the number of electors in the Coychurch Lower area by incorporating Waterton into Bridgend Town and extending the eastern boundary of the ward to the motorway such that some isolated properties will be added to the Coychurch Lower area of Brackla.
The full report can be viewed on the BCBC website at https://www.bridgend.gov.uk/media/iscnwfbo/draft-proposals-report.pdf
Paper copies are also available to view in local libraries and in the reception of the Civic Offices, Angel Street. Maps of the current boundaries for Town and Community Councils are also available on the BCBC website.
As an essential part of this review, BCBC has launched a 12-week consultation to gather views on the draft recommendations.
