COYCHURCH LOWER COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING - DECISIONS
The meeting was held at 7pm on 14th April 2026, in the Williams Memorial Hall, Coychurch
Present: Councillor E Caparros (Chair), Councillor M Randall, Councillor J Brace, Councillor K Sutton, Councillor R Snoddy
The minutes of the March meeting of the community council were approved.
Council agreed to have some concrete slabs laid around the music panel in the play park as the ground surface is well worn in the area.
Council approved the payments as set out in the schedule of Payments and Receipts. Totals were as follows:
Payments: £4,040.96 (which includes final payment for the zip wire repair; litter/waste removal from the play park; and transfer of the VAT refund to the Trustees of the Memorial Hall Coychurch account)
Receipts: £5,732.03 (VAT Refund (for the Council and the Memorial Hall Trust) and bank interest)
Council reviewed and agreed the year end accounts and the all-banks reconciliation to 31 March 2026.
Council reviewed the status of earmarked reserves for the Play Park, Community Field, Election costs, Defibrillator maintenance/replacement and agreed further funds to be added from the general reserve for the financial year 2026-27.
The council agreed to instruct the Internal Auditor for the accounts for 2025-26.
The Annual Meeting of the Community Council was confirmed as 7pm on 14 May 2026 in the meeting room at the Williams Memorial Hall, Coychurch and this will be followed by the May Ordinary Meeting at 7.30pm
